Julian Stubbs will be one of the keynote speakers at the inaugural Cheshire & Warrington Economic Summit (UK) later this month.

Three hundred business leaders from around the region will hear speeches from Mark Gregory, Chief Economist at Ernst & Young (EY) in the UK, and UP's very own Julian Stubbs.

Julian has been asked to talk about his place branding experience and specifically the work he did in branding Stockholm, as The Capital of Scandinavia.

Cheshire and Warrington’s economy is growing at a faster rate than the rest of the Northern Powerhouse, and is home to some of the most significant UK and Global brands and a wealth of high-performing, fast-growth businesses. Jobs are being created and the area continues to benefit from good connectivity north and south.

However, with a period of readjustment as the UK prepares to depart the EU, the area will need to work to maintain outstanding economic performance.

At the Summit, attendees will be hearing from National and International speakers for an afternoon of lively debate as the summit explores what role Place and Identity play in building economic strengths in manufacturing, life sciences and clean energy.

The summit will be held on October 17th at the Alderley Park Conference Centre, Macclesfield (UK).
